Thanks a lot for the NBA shedule...but I think there isn't a NBA team around San

teams around it...

Yeah but, it's not that far a drive up to LA. Maybe 2 hours.
The closest hockey that I know of (and don't forget I'm talking from the
other coast) is the teams up in LA (Anaheim Mighty Ducks and LA Kings).
San Diego has a baseball team -- the Padres, and I believe they play in
Jack Murphy Stadium right in San Diego....

| I agree with Mike, the leading attraction in San Diego is the Zoo, an
absolute must-see. The city also has the best climate in the known
universe.
There is an IHL team, the Gulls, which I understand will move to LA next
season, presumably to share the Sports Arena with the Clippers (and almost
nobody else). The Gulls are a farm team of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
'Saw got it right, it's about a two hour drive from SD to LA. To see a
game at the Forum (Kings and Lakers) exit the 405 Freeway at Manchester,
and head away from the airport (east). It is advisable to phone ahead
for tickets for the Lakers; the Kings have been mediocre enough to have
lost the frontrunners, so chances are better there.
Anaheim is a bit closer, and one can combine a day at Disneyland with a
Ducks' game at the Pond, but again, phone ahead. I'm told the Ducks are
one of the toughest tickets in Southern California.
