>>Each defense has its strengths. Dawgs allow league's lowest point

Both parts of this are true. the STEELER defense, however, has only
allowed 2 TD's over the lasted 5 games, and I haven't checked the
totals, but I'd bet over the lasted 6 or seven games, they've given up
less pernts that the Skidmarks from Clevescum.

| The only teams that will be in the Super bowl are the 49er's and the
Dolphins. No other team in the AFC can effectively score point's when
needed. Clevescum is not the answer they will lose most of the
remaining games. Just you watch. Unfotunately, the best team in the AFC
at this point in time is the Patriots. It kills me to say that.

| A San Francisco-Miami matchup would be the second coming of Joe versus
Elway. What was that beauty? Fifty-something to few?
Firsted of all, there's absolutely no way the Dolphins could stop the
Niners. IMHO, there's only one team that can and they're in the NFC:
Dallas.
Nexted, Miami can be stopped. A good indication of that might be the loss
to Chicago where the Fish coudn't break 20.
Right there, you're looking at 35-17 at the best, for Miami. Add to that,
Marino's new found ability to throw the interception, their lack of a
running game and you've got yourself a genuine mismatch.
FWIW, I don't reject the idea that Miami may be as good as they is in the
AFC, nor would I be all that surprised if'n they won it. Personally, I
think Pittsbugh and San Diego have a better chance. And I think either of
them would match up better against the Niners.
Oh yeah, don't fergit Dallas. One slip by San Francisco and they're back
in the drivers seat. If'n the Cowboys can win with their 3rd stringer,
you'll probaly not see them lose or pull a no show like they did against
Detroit.

What a sacrilege, mentioning Elway, when you meant Marino. You
must ahave a sick and twisted mind just to commit such a Freudian
slip!!!!

| Tweren't no slip but it is kinda a sacrilege comparing Marino to Elway
;-)
Joe wouldn't be there, Steve Young would. Elway wouldn't be there, Marino
would. Same result: switch to the Simpson's for the second half. It'd be
over by then.

| I like Cleveland's chances. With Humphrey dinged at San Diego, they drop
a notch or two on offense. The Burghers haven't had much in that
department, either, their awesome defense notwithstanding. Cleveland's
getting it done on both ends.
Another pretender would be Kansas City who seem afflicted with the
no-can-score blues themselves.

Since ripping Buffalo, KC beat the Raiders 13-3, lost to the Chargers
13-14, beat Cleveland 20-13, and lost to the Seahawks 9-10. Not quite 2
TDs a game while going 2-2. With Joe at the Helm. Oh yeah, earlier, there
was that goose-egg-baby against the Rams, again with Joe playing.

| Oh, you gotta include the injuries as part of the explanation but these
injuries are not going to go away. In fack, Joe has a new problem with
his foot and is listed as questionable for thised week's game hosting
Denver. Sonny Bono is taking time off of his new job as U.S.
Representative and is listed as the probable starting QB.

gone.... He hasnt been listed as OUT but hasnt played in like 3 weeks ?
Will he be back, if so anyone know when ? With Joe and Marcus not at

vs Denver will be very important in terms of playoffs/WCspot/Tie's etc

re: Junk Notes
Junk Notes are in the finest tradition of ::SPROTS and that's why there's
a topic for them. And at regular intervals we have ask everyone to be
cool with the "Has XXX ever won XXX" stuff. The difference thised time
was that those requests went unheeded.
