So what? You also had a Mets In '93 p-name. How grounded in
reality was that? You've earned this topic for your unmatched
sandbagging first during the Islanders series (remember "It
should be noted that the Islanders are one of two teams that
have come back from 3-0"? That one is like DiMaggio's 57 game
hitting streak. It will probably never ever be matched.) and
then during the Caps series. With this well-deserved note, the
name of The Crazy Sandbagger will live in posterity.

Ain't no sandbaggin'
If you had ever followed the Islanders vs Rangers games since the 1976(I think
that was the Isles first year in the playoffs)playoffs you would understand why
the last team the Rangers want to meet in the first round, as heavy favorites,
is the Islanders.
Only a place that has 2 teams in the same sport that compete against
one another can really have this kind of a rivalry. Sure there are
inter-city rivalries that are very intense; but intra-city rivalries
are a different type of thing.

re: many,many back - a Tommy note
Tommy just wanted to make sure you knew that the Islanders scored a
goal tonight.
I may have overestimated the threat the Islanders posed to the Rangers
in the playoffs. However, I do wish to note that the Islanders are one
of the only teams to come back from a 3-0 deficit and win a playoff
series. The Islanders did it in 1975 against the Penguins.

Of course you're not sure. Your team is up 3-0 in the series having
only given up one goal all series long and you're voicing trepidation
because the other team came back from a 3-0 deficit 19 years ago. If
that ain't a wussymain...

I didn't ignore that. In fact, I remember complimenting you on your
incredible grasp of the obvious. Nothing gets by you, TCS. The Rangers
are up 3-0 and have only given up a single goal and you say "I may have

ain't objective analysis at it's finest...

Well, with a lack of punctuation in the original title, it's difficult to
see who is being described as whiney.
It could be TCM's Whiney, Lou_Holtz_Sandbagging Note
Or it could be TCM's Whiney-Lou Holtz Sandbagging Note
All a matter of interpretation....
