$30 - $40 in tips. She brought home 12 bucks. :-(

| Do you have professional darts in the U.S.? It's pretty big here in the U.K.,
but there never seem to be any Americans in the World Championships. This year
was the first time a non-British player won it (it was a Canadian). This was
probably because there are now two rival World Championships, and most of the
top British players defected to the new one.

| She shoulda been working at the Merrimack Legion last night. We
had a full load of folks there, spectators and all.
In fact it got especially busy when one of my team mates scored
a Ton-80! For non-spearchuckers that's three darts in the triple-20.
He immediatly set up the bar.
After the next team shot, I came up and shot a Ton-40. Thank God for
the hammerheads or the dast dart, which hit the wire just above the
trip-20, would have been lying on the floor instead of scoring a single.
What the heck, I set up the bar, too.
Twas a good night for your's truly!

it. Great car, couldn't kill the engine. Might still be on the
road somewhere right now. Sold it with 187k on the clock.

the same notes over and over.
I used to throw darts but I divorced him before I got real good at it.

Re Nazz.
If you think the dart league not showing was bad, try it when Larry
Bird retired. I have been tending Bar in Boston for 7+ years and when
he retired he cost me 200-300$/week. Bum.
I know how she feels..
Darts can't be a sport, the wood/feather/metal tip do all the work.

Yabbut hey -TH,
I heard many years ago the Kevin McHale got into darts as a way to
sharpen up his Bball shooting. Know anything about that? What bar
did Wawwy hang out in?
I remain,
thinking MtM should only be allowed to use "soft tipped" darts!

| Isn't beer drinking a sport? Beer drinkin' and darts go together.
I don't think their is acutally a pro-dart league in the states, but
they do have "open" tournements in each state. Anyone can join for an
entry fee, hope you match up with someone good in the draws.
Our spring league started last night.

About 10 years ago I used to study karate and this guy in my class was
wicked good with a blowgun. I mean, you'd have thought he was from
the Amazon jungle the way he could hit stuff with it....

I guess you could put this in the "did I get taken?" catagory....
Was looking for a nice set of darts for my BIL for X-mas. We were told
to go look at hammerheads. For a guy who doesn't really throw that
much, they seemed to be expensive. Then the sales person says, "oh...
have I got a deal for you...." and pulls out this nice set that went
for about $50. Now the question.....
I was told that ALL hammerheads had that "spring-loaded" tip. These do
not. She told me that they were a new model, one of a kind, if you
will.....
Anyway...did I get hammerheads or did I get taken?!?!
Waiting sheepishly.......

| re hammerhead darts:
All the hammerhead darts I've seen have a point that slids about
1/16th of an inch into the body of the dart. They do not spring
back. They must be pulled out and reset.
The only spring loaded darts I've seen are called Powerpoints.
These are usually cheaper than Hammerheads.
If the darts you got did not come in a case with a Hammerhead
logo, you been took!
