135.0. "The Official Billiards/Pool Topic" by CAM3::WAY (Sex On The Pool Table with Heather) Tue Aug 24 1993 16:33

Well, it's been a long time since SPORTS had a Billiards/Pool topic, but
I figured I'd start one.

Last Saturday night, two of my buds and I headed up to West Springfield
to go to the (relatively) new Boston Billiards. Now, I haven't shot pool
in a lot of years (since I was in the fire department in fact) but I do
enjoy it.

Boston Billiards is a great place. Inside it's very nicely done, (almost
with what I'd call an Atlantic City touch) and the tables are good, and
all the "common" cues are straight and not warped. (You can rent a
fancy cue for $2).

There's table service from some bodacious waitresses, and the beer was
not expensive. You can also get stuff to eat, but beer was good enough
for me.

Long about 9pm, the "shot" waitress came around. Her name was Heather
and she had "shot" duty that night. She was wearing a little denim
outfit (halter, cutoffs) and she took a liking to my bud who was married
(I guess he was "safe"), and she really wanted us to buy some shots.

They had a couple different kinds, so my bud bought a "Sex on the Pool Table"
and he said it was pretty good. As she was leaving she told him
"Now you can tell all your friends you've had Sex on the Pool Table with
Heather". Well, we didn't let him forget that for the rest of the night.

It didn't seem to hurt his game as he completely cleaned our clocks.

I did okay. Once I got to the point of not getting too uptight about my
shots, and relaxing a little things started to fall somewhat. (Course,
that could've been the beer too)....

We spent about three hours there, and the cost was pretty reasonable.
When you consider most things you can do on a Saturday night when you
go out, it's very reasonable....

I know they have Boston Billiards in Worcester and Boston, and if the
other two are as nice as the one in West Springfield, I'd highly recommend
it......

Are you sure you weren't at Big Dan's Tavern in New Bedford?

re optimum beer level:

That's kinda the same way with me and darts. There is an OBL that
I'm constantly tring to find. That is the level at which the beer
will help you the most with the nervousness, but just before it
begins taking a toll on your competence.

Once you find that OBL it's real tough to maintain it without going
too far. (Especially when Heather comes calling!)

Nope, this was Boston Billiards. The "BB" also stands for Big
Bouncers....8^)

I played one of the best rugby matches of my life after 5 beers. Of course,
with a busted hand it took five for me to be crazy enough to play, but
the 5 beers also lessened my inhibitions.....

Of course, the dehydration after the match was severe....

>	Once you find that OBL it's real tough to maintain it without going

I had a good excuse not to buy any of Heather's shots...I was the driver.

My friend had a grin on his face all night though....8^)

I have a buddy who is a serious (and I mean *serious*) pool player.
According to him Boston Billiards and Jillians, both in Boston, are
considered two of the nicest billiard parlors in the country. One of
them is ranked no.1 but I don't remember which. The Boston Billiards
in Worcester is nice but nothing special.

The one in Springfield is very nicely done. It's fairly new, so all the
brass still shines and stuff.

There was quite a varied crowd, and we had a lot of fun.

My pool game needs some SERIOUS work, though....

Well, you just said it -- clothes don't make the woman. For the Chainsaw,
it's the woman that's in the clothes.....

Now granted, a leather mini and seamed stockings ARE one of the Chainsaw's
favorite combinations (have my friends been telling tales out of school
again? or was it a lucky guess), but Heather, dressed in that outfit,
wouldn't have touched the 'Saw that night... his mind was other places...
Heather just didn't make the grade for the 'Saw.... But Gerry was a smilin'

How'd I get into a dress all of a sudden? I've never been in a dress

Course, I don't go into the Red Dog. There are not many places I won't
