Digital Volleyball League 1993 spring season begins
The Digital Volleyball League will begin it's 1993 Spring season on Feb. 3
and is looking for players.
The coed league plays on Wednesday evenings in Hudson, Mass. Two seasons
per year run from September through December and January thru April. The
league is composed of 18 teams representing a wide range of skill levels.

| Yeah Walt, you got it almost right. When Brews and I were out in SF for
Interop in late October he was making darn sure that he was not going
to miss his flight back to Phoenix because he had a voleyball game that
evening; he described some of the babes on that team. Down side of it
is that his wife also plays on the team.

Digital Maynard Golf League open for membership applications
Applications are being accepted for membership in the Digital Maynard Golf
League. They may be obtained electronically by sending mail to ZYXT::MGL
or by extracting note 2.1 in the league's note conference. The notes
conference is ZYXT::MGL93.
The Maynard Golf League plays at Stow Acres Country Club and has 16
divisions of differing handicap levels playing on one of four nights each
week from late April into August, with playoffs in September.
For league play, members are paired to form two person teams. Employees
may join the league as a regular member with a partner, or the league will
pair an employee with another member. Alternatively, employees may join as
alternates substituting for regular members during vacations, business
travel, etc. Additional information is provided in the application.
In addition, the league sponsors three outings each season and an
end-of-the-season banquet.
Registration for regular members closes on March 12.

The Digital Marlboro Softball league will start a new season
at the end of April. There are currently plenty of openings
for people interested in playing softball this season. The games
are played in the Marlboro Hudson area Monday-Thursday.
The skill level varies from division to division.

Men's Basketball League to hold sign-up meeting
The Digital Maynard/Marlboro Men's Basketball League will hold a

The league's playing season generally runs from October through

Digital Littleton Volleyball League begins new season
The Digital Littleton Volleyball League (DLVL) begins its
1993-94 season on Sept. 20. The league is a modified co-ed league; each
team must field a lineup containing at least two members of each sex.
Players of all skill levels are welcome. Games are played on either
Monday or Wednesday nights at the Russell Street School in Littleton.
Play will run into April.

Women's Basketball League begins play next month
The Digital Women's Basketball League (DWBL) begins its 1993-94
season next month and plays through March. Games are played Thursday
nights at Nashoba Regional High School, Route 117, Bolton, Mass. Three
games are played each week; starting times are 6, 7:15, and 8:30 p.m.
Those who are interested in playing or who would like more details

DIGITAL WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The league is starting its 13th season in October '93 and is always
looking for new players. The goal of the league is to provide an
opportunity for Digital employees and spouses of employees to play
basketball with an emphasis on fun and skill-improvement. The
games are held at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton, MA on
route 117. (approx. 3 miles west on 117 from the 495 interchange)
We are trying to field 6 teams for this upcoming season. Each
team only needs a couple more people. If you or anyone you know likes
to play basketball, no matter what the skill level, please contact
Becky MRKTNG::CHAUSSE (DWBL PResident) or Lisa ELWOOD::LOMBARDO
(DWBL Secretary) ASAP.
The players have skill level range from beginner to college-experienced.
Players come from as far north as Merrimack, NH and as far south as
Shrewsbury, MA. The games are officiated by certified referees.
The season goes from October to March, usually.

Eastern Massachusetts Digital Hockey League
The EMDHL is starting it's 1993-94 season and is looking for
new players to join the league. The league is a competitive
recreational, nocheck, full slapshot, league. All games are
played at the Northstar Youth Forum in Westborough on Sunday
mornings from 8:30AM-12:30PM.
The season runs from September through April. There are
currently 10 teams in the league. The season consists of
18 regular season games followed by playoffs. Preseason
games have been started but several teams are presently
in need of players.

The Merrimack Valley Table Game Association (MVTGA) is seeking a new
owner for it's Baseball League.
The Game: Pursue the Pennant (PtP), computer version. For those of
you unfamiliar with the game it is similar to APBA and
Strat-O-Matic (closer to Strato). If you've played either
then you've essentially played PtP.
The League: An 11 team league that just concluded it's 9th season. League
members reside in Tewksbury, Dracut, Derry, Merrimac NH,
Milford NH, Litchfield, Shirley, Sterling and Shrewsbury.
Standings and stats are maintained. A monthly newsletter is
published. There are play-offs and a championship.
Each team has a 25 man major league roster and a 10 man
minor league roster. There is a salary cap based on
real life MLB salary info. Perpetual rights are maintained
on drafted players with a free agent draft each pre-season.
Trades, waivers, promotions, demotions etc. are included.
The Season: The '95 season was a 53 game season played in 16 three or four
game series. Each series is scheduled to occur within a 10 day
window. The season runs from mid-March to early September.
(The ten day window is a guideline, we all work and most have
families - occasional slippages occur and are condoned).
Each team will host 8 or 9 series. The free agent draft
is in February.
Trivia: If you love baseball, love competition and matching of
wits and always thought you'd be a great GM AND field manager
here's your chance to prove it. Every facet of the game
is included, unlike the extremely limited subset of
rotisserie.
