The US Forest Service is holding a public open house meeting to discuss the
closure of 'public lands' to target shooting and hunting in the Mt. Hermin
area near Monument, CO. The meeting will be at the Monument Fire Center,
Saturday May 10th, 1997 from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.

To find the Monument Fire Center call Mr. Frank M. Landis at: 719-636-1602.

Please try and attend this meeting even though the notice is short. There
will be a comment form sent at a later date, when I figure out how to send a
pre-made government form over e-mail.

I found a U.S. Forest Service feedback form on their website at
http://www.fs.fed.us/feedback-form.html
use it to send them a timely "NO" vote on the land closure to shooters!
Tell them in your message to forward your comments to the proper
personnel before the meeting occurs.

Dear Colorado NRA Member:

On Saturday, May 10, I will be in the Denver area to meet and
speak with members like yourself and to sign copies of my new
book on self-protection -- SAFE, not Sorry. As the Executive
Director of NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, my primary
responsibility is to protect the Second Amendment and the
inalienable right to self-defense. As the creator of NRA's
Refuse To Be A Victim program, I have written SAFE, not Sorry to
be a comprehensive, easy-to-follow guide on how to make your
right to self-defense work for you.

I will be signing copies of SAFE, not Sorry at the Borders Books
