My dad worked at the Springfield Armory during the 40's, 50's, and 60's
as a toolmaker and later, mechanical engineer.

When he was leaving the Armory in August of 1945 for service in the
army occupation in Italy, John Garand gave him personally autographed
small conversions book for shop work. The booklet itself is a 1943
    edition.

Can anyone direct me to a reputable person to put a value on this item?

    Thanks!
