Conference foundr::firearms

    this seemed like a good place to ask this:
    
    has anyone ever *seen* a Persian Mauser (98/29) BRNO sling?
    
    I ordered a pair from SAMCO (the planetary source for Persian Mausers),
    for a princely sum, and what arrived in the box looks suspiciously like
    what I have seen in the past advertised as:
    
    	o turn of the century Enfield slings (?)
    	o Mauser slings
    	o FN slings
    	o WalMart Greeter slings
    
    	???
    
    what I got from Samco looks like:

     ^   ^                                   ^riveted endpiece
     holes for leather thong         ^movable buckle
    	
    
    hopefully somebody has a book or something around that talks about
    these...
