    No real surprises here, other than the vehemency they defend this
    crap-ola with. Notice that their support is based on stopping
    "illegal guns sales", totally ignoring the fact that private sales
    are legal between residents whether at a show or not. I wish that
    they had the guts to simply state that they are for registration
    and/or the elimination of private sales, period. The only positive
    thing I can say about Bananna Bill is that he didn't use weasel
    words when he sided with the gungrabbers....
    
    People that have been around guns and the politics that are
    involved will most likely remember that a large reason for GCA 68
    was support from Stock Dealer type Associations. Particularly
    the part that banned import of surplus military rifles which
    they saw as competition. So, either S+W/Weatherby/Lyman have
    fallen victim to the lies of the gungrabbers (this will only
    affect criminals!) or they are willing to sell out the 2nd for
    their quarterly report. Neither is a palateable idea.....
    
    Now, under Klintons "best economy in 50 years" it's getting
    harder and harder all the time for me to find money to buy anything
    at all, let alone a new Smith or a Weatherby....but they won't 
    know that when I send 'em a letter thanking them for clarifying
    their position, helping me to choose another vendor :)
