When accessing machine-2 from Netscape 3.0, I can see both the internet and
X.400 addressing characteristic of the selected entry: that's not the case
when using machine-1 (of course those chars do exist for the entry).
Could it depend on the version of Infobroker? Or on the version of X.500?
Or by the combination of the two?
Or am I just doing something wrong here?

Machine 1 has a very old version of X.500. It may be that the schema does not have all the alternate names for attributes which infobroker is looking for. So, dxim may be able to display the attribute (using the default name), but infobroker might expect to find the attribute by using a different name. Andrew | |||||

X.500 V2.0 is very old and obsolete. The X.500 V3.0 schema was extended. Compare the schema files /var/dxd/mts.sc and x400.sc between the two version. Julian | |||||

Hi,
do you see any problem in installing the newest version of X.500 and
Infobroker in the following environment:
DU 3.2B
DNOSI 3.2B
MTA 400 1.4
MAILWORKS 1.7A
More generally is there a cross-reference guide on the compatible
version of all these products?

You probably want a more recent version of DU V3.2. The earlier versions
tend to crash a bit too often with X.500 present.
Somewhere we say what the minimum version of DU should be, but I cant
remember it right now.
