Hi We have a customer who is interested in Field Test of DEC X.500 T3.1 but also needs to install Infobroker.Please can you confirm that Infobroker will install on UNIX V4.0A (There was some doubt expressed in the old conference) Regards Jill

Jill,
Infobroker should run on UNIX V4.0a/b if the UNIX test patch for X.500
T3.1 is applied. I have not run Infobroker myself on UNIX V4 but I have
evidence that it runs on UNIX V4. (Note we did original think run it
would not run on UNIX V4 like X.500, but a recent look at the code has
changed that opinion.)
Infobroker will not install on UNIX V4 because of a dependent subset
C++ name changes. In 4.0 CXXSHRDA was renamed to CXLSHRDA. You can if
you like change the installation script your self or install Infobroker
before upgrading UNIX.

Is Infobroker being updated for installation on UNIX V4.0A (rather than
depending on installation on V3.2x in order to run on V4.0A)?
