965.0. "DDA in ORADDRESS?" by KERNEL::HOULDINGJ (Jill Houlding - Back in Basingstoke) Wed Jan 29 1997 20:30

Hi

Please can you tell me how you would enter a DDA in an ORADDRESS in X.500

From the MB400 MTA Planning Guide I understand DDA's are specified as
	type:value	where type is 8 characters and value is

Is the syntax the same in X.500?

Regards

	The OR-Address and OR-Name external representation code
	was developed by the MTA team and hence it should be the
	same.

965.2Depends on the UI...IOSG::WRENIThu Jan 30 1997 08:5815

    Jill,

    The syntax depends on the UI you're using but yes a DDA does have a
    type and value.

    In cdxim the syntax appears to be DDA:[<type>]=<value> .....

    eg for a DDA with a type of OLDMBX and a value of 123456789 the O/R
       Address attribute might be entered something like

       mhs-or-address="C=gb;A=....;DDA[OLDMBX]=123456789"
