Hi ,

I'm trying to configure dsa on my system . But when I try to enable the DSA ,
the operation hangs and the prompt doesn't reappear . 

Here is the operations that I do....

# ncl
ncl> create dsa

Description: The DSA Entity already exists.

ncl> create dsa naming context "/c=US/o=Abacus"
ncl> enable dsa

.... at this point it hangs and to get back the prompt I have to press Ctrl-c.

The Software versions are the following...

Digital Unix V4.0b
Decnet/OSI V4.0a 
Digital X.500 Directory Service V3.0 ECO 3 

I got the above log after a reinstallation of the "Digital X.500 Directory 
Service V3.0 ECO 3" (this explains the message "Description: The DSA Entity 
already exists." when I create the DSA) but I got the problem since the first 
time I configured X.500 .

Could anyone give me any advice ?

    Unfortunately X.500 V3.0 ECO 3 will not run on UNIX V4.0
    This is because of bugs in libxti.so and because thread
    exceptions compiled on UNIX V3.2 dont work on UNIX V4.0.

    We are currently producing a new version that will
    run on UNIX V4.0a plus patches. We will announce a field
    test kit soon.

Does it mean that there are not an "X.500 Directory Service" version that 
I can install on Digital Unix V 4.0B ?
In the other words : if I can't downgrade to Digital Unix V3.2c Do I have to
wait the new release that soon will be available ?

    I believe any V3.2x of Digital Unix will work, however.
