Hi, yes, MAILbus 400 V2.1 will include Two Way Alternate (TWA). For details about the V2.1 release, please contact Geoff Oades (@REO). Cheers Charly

with which interoprability ? Hmm. What does this mean? We will interoperate with (the few) other MTAs that support the X.400 definition of TWA. The developers working on TWA would be interested in knowing of any specific requirements (and potential peers with whom we could test TWA). Again, please contact Geoff Oades or the development manager, Carl Evans (also @REO) with any info. b

with which interoprability ? Hmm. What does this mean? We should interoperate with (the few) other MTAs that support the X.400 definition of TWA. That's what standards are supposed to be about. There may be problems in practice, but the only way an implementer can avoid these is by advance-warning and testing. The developers working on TWA would be interested in knowing of any specific interworking requirements (and potential peers with whom we could test TWA). Is there, for example, a big French supplier or group of suppliers that we need to work with? Again, please contact Geoff Oades or the development manager, Carl Evans (also @REO) with any info. b

re .0 and .1 Note this is still a "future". You should discuss with Geoff Oades what is possible and prudent to tell the customer at this time, before releasing any information about our possible future implementation of TWA. Scott |
