Hello, a german customer is trying to send messages to an HP MTA via RFC1006 and experiences disconnect problem resulting in always retrying. The transport connection is established and the data transfer ongoing but at the end, the HP gets disconnected with a OSI tranport DR. packet. The call refences also note 3287 in DECNET_OSI_FOR_VMS conference. A file containing a trace is available at BRSSWS::52198.ctf . This file contains in fact the Nice call informations and the trace done by customer. I can also produce an Ascii version of the trace if needed. We tried to analyze the trace but nobody here can do that, can someone help us or explain where to find info to analyze such trace ? Thanks for help Eric Collart MCS Brussels

> The call refences also note 3287 in DECNET_OSI_FOR_VMS conference. If this is the same problem as specified in note 3287, then what did you not understand about the answer? It seemed pretty clear to me - you don't issue a DR TPDU when using RFC1006 - if HP is doing this, then they are broken and need to fix their implementation. --Scott | |||||
