Hello, we have problems decoding the uuencoded mails with a non-MIME header. When the attachement is decoded manually the output is correct. But manual decoding is NOT a workaround for normal users. They believe that the attachments got lost. An other site of the same company dropped our SMTP-Gateway and installed a PC-based solution at lower costs. This solution works well and decodes even non-MIME mails!! We are in a difficult political situation. To save our SMTP-Gateway we need a workaround to handle this kind of mails. (SMTP Gateway V2.1.3) Please contact me for more informations. Every help will be appreciated. Regards, Thomas [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Are you using the script in /var/smtpgw/examples? Whats the problem with it? > When the attachement is decoded manually the output is correct. By this do you mean a manual invocation of 'uudecode' on the body of the encoded message, or a manual invocation of the custom_decode script? Does the latter work? +Mark+ |
