| An X-kit (2.1.4) was supplied to ABB via IPMT CFS.50377 to fix this
problem in April: have they not installed it, or is this a different
site?
(NB the root cause of this problem is probably a misconfigured
sendmail.cf file: the SMTP Gateway should never be presented with
and address with two '@').

Hum, my customer is ABB from Switzerland. I informed Swiss
support, they will do the follow up.
I copied the X-kit in case they need it.
Thanks for help

Hello,
here is what I received from DEC Zurich:

We are in contact with Ms.Menges at ABB in Germany.
We do not agree to install the X-Kit 2.1.4 of the SMTP-Gateway as a solution
for our problem! Ms.Menges confirmed us by phone that the X-Kit does not solve
the problems. See also event 18 of IPMT 50377.
We have two different sites with the same problem. Please note that both sites
have the same top managers. If the escalation reaches them we will find us in a
difficult political situation.
- ABB Germany with Calls 53955 (@@) and 2942 (core)
- ABB Switzerland with Call 45644 (@@ and core)
> (NB the root cause of this problem is probably a misconfigured

We do not believe that a misconfigured sendmail.cf causes the @@.
Even with the default sendmail.cf after the installation of the
SMTP-Gateway we find the malformatted addresses. The addressee at the left of
the @@ is missing. A workaround is not possible - the message is lost.
You find a copy of the sendmail.cf, of the logfile and a message in the tar
file attached to the original call.
*** end ***
I hope you can investigate further, let me know any comment/question
