| The RFC1327 address-mapping algorithm does this sort of mapping by default.
For example I create a foreign address mrsab3.x400 for the gateway
/c=gb/a=admd/p=prmd/o=smtp and run the address test tool....

| I must have:
>For example I create a foreign address mrsab3.x400 for the gateway
>/c=gb/a=admd/p=prmd/o=smtp and run the address test tool....
a foreign address of mrsab3.x400 mapping to c=gb/a=admd/p=prmd
Your smtp address of:
> [email protected]
must translate to:
/PN=john.smth/OU2=hi/OU1=bye/PRMD=prmd/ADMD=admd/C=gb/
They are not using the organization name in DDS - that works perfectly
with MRX and DDS!
What I need is som kind of place holder for the organization name
in the translation of the foreign address.
Walter.

| I understand now.
I don't think the gateway can do it: you would have to explicity create all
possible ou1 terms (with the 'o' term absent) in the directory, so the
algorithm in .1 will do the rest i.e. you need a foreign address for every
possible value of 'y'.
