I asked the below question in the X500 conference but was told that it might be more appropriate here, so here goes: I have a customer who wants to implement the full 93 standard MHS distribution list class but realises that what Digital supply is only a subset of that. What he wants to know is whether he can get the full definition of what is already there so he can modify it rather than have to create something afresh for this. I know nothing about X.500 so I don't know where to look and I'm not even sure of the quesiton I am asking! I've scanned the .SC files and there are mentions of the distribution list stuff but it doesn't seem to give much detail. Is it setout somewhere else that it is possible to get at? The other question he has is whether there are any plans to extend the schema to cover the other parts that aren't currently included. Thanks for any assistance. Brian

>> whether he can get the full definition Yes, from the 93 MHS standards I guess!! >> Is it setout somewhere else I doubt it (if you mean 'somewhere else' in a DIGITAL product). What do they want it for? Do they have some other product that is using DEC X.500 to provide MHS services? MAILbus 400 supports MHS distribution lists using the schema attributes that are already there; extending the schema wouldn't make extra things suddenly start working in MAILbus 400. Scott |
