2781.3 | Does anyone have any facts from Unisource? | ZUR01::ASHG | Grahame Ash @RLE | Tue Feb 25 1997 10:59 | 16 |
| Has anyone (in NL or anywhere else) any more news on this one?
We're still getting complaints that Unisource MTAs cannot deal with our 88
messages. It's not just XMR, it's any of the 88 extensions apparently.
The latest vague theory from Unisource in Switzerland is that it's to do with
the Criticality settings. It seems that Isocor have made some fixes to the
MTA, but it still doesn't work. Incoming messages from MB400 finish up in some
Operator's mailbox.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem possible to get any news from Unisource about
EXACTLY what the problem is. So all we can do is revert to 84 connections.
Has anyone got an 88 peer connection to a Unisource MTA?

| Grahame,
so far we only configure 84 connections to Unisource.
mainly because we ( at least I am ) are not convinced about the
downgrading capabilities of their systems.
Do you have any information about this?
So 88 connections we don't have, as far as I know.
maybe Dick (UTRTSC::)Ederveen has some more info.

That's exactly the way it looks here as well. There seems to be no sign of the
situation improving.
