Hi, I have a customer problem with x.400 addressing and using the word AT. The customer is trying to mail an MS-Mail/CC:Mail address and has a DDS entry setup as follows :- Given name : L Surname : WINTERS Name : L WINTERS Reverse lookup : 1=US@2=MARK400@4=FWUSA1@4=FWHEELER @5=QUIKCOMM@6=LARRY WINTERS AT FWUSA4PO@X400@LNL27 Unique subscriber identifier : XXWINTER Master copy owning node : LNSRV2 MHS/VMS address number : 1 MHS/VMS address part : LNL27 MHS mailbox : X400 MHS User identifier : 1=US@2=MARK400@4=FWUSA1@4=FWHEELER@ 5=QUIKCOMM@6=LARRY WINTERS AT FWUSA4PO The problem is that when he tries to send to this user via MRX it modifies address field 6 and interprets the word AT as a @ and then anything after the word AT is put into a seperate ROUTESTRING. Below is an extract of the NBS file that has been dumped :- ATTR[ROUTE] ROUTE SEQ ROUTENAME ASCII ROUTESTRING Len = 00000004 X400 %X58343030 ASCII ROUTESTRING Len = 00000008 FWUSA4PO ASCII ROUTESTRING Len = 0000000F 6=LARRY WINTERS ASCII ROUTESTRING Len = 0000000A 5=QUIKCOMM ASCII ROUTESTRING Len = 0000000A 4=FWHEELER ASCII ROUTESTRING Len = 00000008 4=FWUSA1 ASCII ROUTESTRING Len = 00000009 2=MARK400 ATTR[USERID] USER ASCII USERIDSTRING Len = 00000004 1=US %X313D5553 Is there anyway of entering the word AT into an x.400 address without MRX changing it to a @ sign and modifying the address ?? Customer is using MRX v2.3-004. Thanks, Mike

What makes you think MRX is doing this? What is the User Agent? (ALL-IN-1? DECMailworks?) Dave | |||||

Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply, I should have done a bit more checking first. The User Agent is Mailworks and having dumped the NBS file from Mailworks before it gets to MR it does appear that it is Mailworks that is changing the address. Thanks, Mike |
