    Hi,
    
       I have a customer worried about the year 2000. He would like to know
    which versions of message router(base and gateways MRX, MRS and  MRG) ,
    mailbus mta  and x500 products are  prepared to work with year 2000.

	Marcia, We are not committing to YR2000 readiness for any of the Message Router/MAILbus 1 family of products. Engineering retirement of these products was announced in February's Customer Update with the intention to retire in June '98. MCS are investigating possible options to support the family past the YR2000 but this investigation has only just begun. For more info contact Judy Photenas of MCS. DIGITAL X.500 is YR2000 ready (note we do not use the terms compliant or conformant for legal reasons) and MAILbus 400 will be with the next release in September/October. Regards, Dave

	Hi Dave, This customer is testing Mailbus 400 and X.500 with ALL-IN-1 3.2 maybe they migrate before Year 2000. But I 'll get in touch with Judy Photenas in case the customer tells me that their intention is not to migrate before Year 2000. Thanks, M�rcia
