My forsythia finally is about to bloom.   This is it's third spring
(planted fall 94) and both years prior I just got 2 or 3 blooms.
I've never pruned it.

This past winter I sprayed the buds with Wilt Pruf in November and
again in February.  I also went heavy on the fertilizer and lime
last year.  I don't know whether those factors contributed or
just some maturing was needed, but it is great to see some
thick yellow buds at last.
