We have about three rose bushes in our yard..I don't know which kind(they were there when we bought the house!). Last year, we got some beautiful blooms. This year however, the bushes show no signs of growth. Is it too early for them or are the bushes dead? Also, can I just cut back the dead shoots now? | |||||

Where are you? My roses are in full leaf and unless you are way way up north, yours should be too. If the canes are turning a light brown all the way down I am afraid you may have lost them, try looking down the stem to see if there is any sign of a bud, if there is cut the stem back to that mark and keep your fingers crossed. I am not an expert on roses so someone else may be able to offer a better suggestion. joan |
