Hi
I have users that need to print to the LSR 2000 from Digital UNIX and
other UNIXs. They particularly want to:
select input trays
select orientation (portrait or landscape)
select single or duplex
select number-up
I believe the UNIX lpr command can handle each of these using,
respectively, the -Itray, -Oorientation, -Ksides, and -Nnumber options.
Do these all work to the LSR 2000? I have a dim memory of other notes
in this notes file saying that some of these might not.
Thanks!

Certainly there's been no formal attempt to test the Colorwriter on
different flavors of UNIX. (Anecdotal comments are welcome.)
Digital UNIX doesn't have the lpr options; if you install the
PrintServer kit, you get these options through lpspr. Regardless, the
-K option is moot because the 'LSR 2000 is not a duplex printer. There
is also a kit on the PSB InfoCenter that can be used to help select the
manual feed tray.
You might want to post in KERNEL::UNIX_PRINTING to reach more possible
existing users.
