I'm working with a customer who wants to print to a PrintServer 17 from Windows 95 machines through an NT server. He has installed the PrintServer Software on his NT system and is printing fine from there. On NT he shared the LPS17 printer. When he tries to print from Windows 95 clients the following error occurs: PRINTER'S FOLDER There was an error writing to //machine/device for printer LPS1 (Digital PrintServer 17). The access code is invalid. This printer will be set to work off line. He has another printer (HP) that is shared and is working. Does anyone know what this error means? Thank you. Liz Holland

I asked what version of Windows NT because I know that security and permissions are much different between '3.51 and '4.0. This looks like some sort of error related to the authorized users for this queue. I've never seen anything like this before, though. |
