Hi all, a costumer has asked me if i can figure it out what is the escape sequence that allows the declaser 3500 print a double-underline. The deal is this: he bought recently two declaser 3500 in order to swap some declaser 2200 that he had. These printers had a vms queue assigned that was used by an application they have which generates an ASCII file with escape sequences. On the old printers they used the following escape sequence to activate the double-underlined <CSI> 21m and <CSI> 0m to deactivate it. But now, althought these new printers don't give any error message, they don't interpretate the sequence. Can someone help me? Thanks, NelsonR.

DEClaser 2200 printers understand ANSI escape sequences (like your <CSI> 21m) but DEClaser 3500 printers do not. Since the 3500 understands PostScript and PCL, you must use DCPS software (if you're on an OpenVMS system) or the external ConvertPrint box to translate ANSI sequences. Paul |
