This note is cross-posted in the Windows_NT Notesfile. <<< DECWET::DOCD$:[NOTES$LIBRARY]WINDOWS-NT.NOTE;1 >>> -< Windows NT >- ================================================================================ Note 5929.0 Printserver Boot Host No replies ROBRVW::MITCHELL "Rob Mitchell - System Mgr" 12 lines 17-APR-1997 09:28 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An NT print Server can have queues that load from VAXes. So how so I determine what actual printers the NT Server is booting from the list of queues available? The NT Printserver can also have queues for printers that are loaded from other NT Printservers. How do you determine who is loading what printer? From a VAX I can interrogate an LPS printer using DECnet to find out who loaded it. But if the printer is loaded using Bootp with an IP address, how can I determine what system loaded it? Rob

7170.1 | Use the LPS kit for NT see 6.215 in this file | 18669::HARVEY | Printserver Support- America's Zone | Thu Apr 17 1997 17:03 | 10 |
Rob, In note 6.215 in this file is a pointer to the printserver kit for NT. Load this kit on to your NT machine and utilize the remote console utility. Using this utility connect to the printer in question and hit the config button. This will show which node was the primary load host of the printer and the management host too. Renis | |||||
