7154.0. "A&L problems, software drivers ?" by STKHLM::BARBRO () Thu Apr 10 1997 09:49
Could someone out there help me to test this out, I don't have an LNC01, nor
do I have any knowledge of Arts&Letters. The procedure to produce
the problem is following:
In Arts & Letters,
choose library,
choose maps - North America,
choose Canada
A map of Canada and its provinses is coming up, "Beaufort Sea & Hudson Bay"
and a canadian flag saying "Canada" beneath it,
If this picture is tried on an LNC01 or an LPS17/600 the flag doesn't
show up !!!
On 3 other printers HP4 / HP5 / Canon BJ200 it is coming out normally as
expected.
This has been tested from WIN/NT 3.51 sp4 (multia), 3.51 sp5 (compaq) and
from NT4 sp1 (compaq) against the same NT-server....
NO WAY IT WORKS !!
Is there any cure ?
Respond either here (preferably) or straight to customer:

| The interesting thing about the different printers listed is that the
ones which fail are PostScript printers. Perhaps this is a problem with
the application and not necessarily with one of our printers?
If the customer is willing to submit the PostScript output from the
application, that would probably help diagnose the problem.
[I assume that only appropriate field and customer support people would
directly contact a customer. This isn't the best way to solicit
customer contact.]
