A customer of ours has an LN14 including a NIC card. He's running DCPS 1.3 on VMS 6.2. Problem is that it takes 4 minutes for the first sheet to come out irregardless of what it contains if it is coming from a PC For example Word,Excel. He thinks (not certain) that it all started after upgrding WinNT from 3.11 to 4.0. He's getting data over to the LN14 via LAT. It's working just fine from VMS. Have a guess it's got something to do with the PC-driver. Is there anything one can do to improve the situation ? All hints, ideas or advices are welcome. best rgds GB

If the only trouble is with jobs printed from Windows NT 4.0 systems, then I'd check and modify the scheduling and spooling settings in the Properties for the printer. There are a number of switches that control when printing actually starts and at what priority. |
