7140.0. "LN17ps not printing correctly" by CSCMA::RUSSELL () Wed Apr 02 1997 18:39

Hi,

I have a customer that is having some problems with an ln17ps printer.

The printer was connected to a Netware fileserver v4.11, but the customer
never got this to work. Everytime she tryed to run Pconsole the fileserver
would crash.

The ln17ps is now connected to a 10-base-2 connector on it's own network port.
The printer has telnet port #2501 defined.

The problem is with the 25 W95 print clients. The printer will print jobs
at random, when the printer does work, it will only print part of the job,
for example a 3 page file is sent, only 2 pages will print.

The latest ln17ps driver is configured on each W95 client, the driver
is dated 7-27-97.

Is there a limit to how many print clients can be setup to use the LN17ps?

Note: that she has another ln17ps printer on a 10-base-2 connected on it's own
network port, it also has telnet port#2501 defined.

IS it okay to have 2 printers using the same telnet port?

Thank You,
Lynda

If each printer has been given a proper, distinct IP address, then yes.
