I have had trouble cancelling a large print job on an LSR2000+. The particular job was a PowerPoint document and was submitted for use of the MP tray. It's about 30 slides and the size shows as 34984591 (about 34mb, I guess). I tried the Spooler to delete the job and it would not delete. I tried pushing the cancel button on the printer and left it overnight. In the morning, the LCD still said "cancelling". Power cycling the printer had no effect either. I finally had to put paper in the MP tray and let the job complete. Is there anything else I could have done? Thanks! dave

I'm assuming the job was in the Printing state, not the Waiting state when you tried to delete it through the Spooler. I've seen cases where jobs will just plain "get stuck" but not in released versions of the firmware--then again maybe I've been lucky. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if the printer were powered up with a door open, and the job did not have a chance to start printing, then it could be deleted through the spooler. Otherwise, flushing the queues might be the only answer as it was in the two cases that I had during development. | |||||

Ok. Next time I get into this situation, I'll try the power-up-with-the-door-open trick. Thanks! dave |
