can somebody answer this
I have a customer waiting for the SSB release of DCPS 1.4
(for raw TCP/IP Printing to HP Laserjet 5M Printers).
Do we have any expected release date for DCPS 1.4 ?

Subj: Status of DCPS V1.4
I have been getting a lot of mail recently from people wanting
to know the status of DCPS V1.4.
As you may or may not know, the Printing Systems Business
was going to be sold. This has fallen through now and we are
trying to determine what will happen to PSB and the products
that we developed. This is affecting the release of DCPS V1.4.
The main concern is that DCPS V1.4 supports the HP 5SiMX, 4MV
and 5M as well as the Lexmark Optra Rt+, and these could provide
competition for printers which we decide to sell. Until the
strategy for what happens to PSB and what Digital will do for
printers is decided, we will not release DCPS V1.4.
I have the engineers working on finishing up the code so that it
can be released to SSB about the end of April, if we decide to do
so. Hopefully we will make the decisions necessary by that time.
I know you have many customers who want DCPS V1.4 for either the
support of these third party printers or for the IP socket support.
I sympathize with your needs, but until a decsision is made, we
will not be releasing DCPS V1.4.

It may be too late, but IF there is still time to add a printer, it
would be nice if V1.4 would officially support the HP LaserJet 6P and
6MP printers since they are now out, as well as the HPLJ5.
