7123.0. "lps17/600 and tcpip queue not working" by CSCMA::RUSSELL () Fri Mar 14 1997 14:32

Hi,

I have customer that cannot print to an lps17/600 via tcpip queue.

The error message that is returned after a print job is sent to the queue...

"dcps-w-printer not ready"
"system-f-connect to network rejected, objected rejected"

We can ping the lps17/600's IP address and the host name. The printer
is booted from another vms host system, decnet queue are working fine from
that end.

UCX v4.1 and dcps v1.2 are in stalled.

Thank you for any help with this problem,
Lynda Russell

    We got the tcpip queue to work with ucs via vms after adding the
    printers hostname and ip address in the local DNS table.

    The customer never mentioned the DNS tables before so we did not
    think to add the printers informatin sooner.

    fyi,
    Lynda
