Hi, I am working with a DEClaser 2200 (LN06-A2) connected to a PC running Win 95 (on a test print, the printer identifies itself as a 2250) Instead of printing .ps output, the printer prints .ps code. When online the status window reads READY DEC. Normally I would have expected to see PS READY/IDLE (which was actually displayed momentarily, by accident ... but I can't reproduce it). As this is an older printer I have been unable to locate a manual. Does anyone know how I can direct the printer to print .ps text? Thanks, George

George, You have the printer in ppl mode, you need to switch it back to postscript mode. Take the printer off line and press the menu button, hold it for about four seconds until the display panel tells you it's in ppl mode. Press the left or right arrow buttons until it says Adobe on the left side of the display, press enter. It will then switch to postscript mode and you can use the 2250 driver. Randy |
