2950.0. "Color palette problem" by FX28PM::SMITHP (Written but not read) Tue Jun 03 1997 09:48
I have an odd problem. I have a couple of Living Books on CDROM that
require standard VGA mode. These have been working fine for many months
on a P5 with Creative Labs MA202 (cirrus 5446 chip) 2MB graphics card set
at 1024x768 Hi color mode. This past weekend my wife said the CDROM's
started displaying an error message about not enough display memory.
After a little probing she spilled the beans and said she had been
experimenting with fonts and graphics setting just prior to the Living
Books going toes up, but could not recall exactly what she changed.
I tried reinstalling the graphics drivers and living books without any
luck. The only way I can now get them to work is to set the graphics mode
to standard VGA. This is not something I want to do every time the kids
want to run Grandma and Me!
Why setting could have been changed that would cause this?
Thanks
