Very occasionally I get an error on my DEC office PC that `this program has performance an illegal operation and will be shut down'. The specificas appear to relate to module krnl386.exe at 0002:00002b8e Is tapi the MS telephone extensions used by the modems? The problem appears to show only when a pcmcia remove of the modem card is selected. Bruce

Hey, welcome to WIndows95 ! Everythings a bug ! Seriously thou, you might need the kernel.exe update from the Microsoft web site. I'd at least try that first. Oh, and yes you could have come kind of PCMIA problems. I'd check over that real close. My 486 75 Hinote Ultra can crash as well with the kernal messages. I usually just do a reboot and forget about it. Oh, and just chalk it up to a Windows95 thing.. L8tr.. Stevem.. | |||||

I forced a re-upgrade to 950B and requested a `replace all' when asked about older files replacing newer files. The problem is gone. Now to find out with layered package caused the problem in the first place.... |
