I saw this problem mentioned in other topics but no solutions other than reinstall All but one icons in Control Panel are gone. Is there a way to recover?? the only one there is ODBC the others are gone! Dennis

you probably were hit by a virus such as MDMA.
if the control pannel icons are the only damage,
you need to copy in the .cpl files from win95
cdrom (or from another system. however, there is
probably further damage from the vrus...
