I have a customer who has a small network of W95 clients on a Netware network with Netware fileservers etc. They wish to implement an internal NT web server using IP. Am I right in understanding that the simplest approach to giving the W95 clients access is by adding a TCP/IP stack on the PCs and entering the required IP address in the HOSTS files? Any comments?? Yes, add the TCP/IP protocol to the W95 clients. I'd forget about the host files. Better to use DHCP and WINS to manage internet addresses and name resolution. |
