2910.0. "dir of win95 diskettes available?eg Quick View?" by DUB01::CORCORAN () Wed Apr 23 1997 13:04

Does anyone know what is on each of the Win95 diskettes?
    I need the following

    			Windows display drivers
    			   " printer drivers
    			Windows Quick View

Quick View apparently is supposed to be one of these add/remove
    programs,but it isn't listed when I check

Quickview may not be on the floppies - It's entirely possible (likely)
that it is only on the CD distribution.

   re.2 Maybe I have'nt been clear enough-I know HOW its done,Quick View
isn't showing as either installed or installable when I click details.

Windows95 was loaded from floppies,so I was wondering which floppies
had what. With old Windows, you are normally asked to insert floppy #
    whatever in drive A:,etc.

.3 has it right. You can find the other files on the Microsoft web
site or just find someone who has a CDROM. From the above URL:

    CD-ROM Extras

The Windows 95 CD-ROM Extras include additional files that are on the
CD-ROM version of Windows 95 but not on the floppy disk version. If you
have the CD-ROM version of Windows 95, there is no need to download
these files, as you already have them.
