Jim,
Windows subdir \sysbckup\ contains a backup version of recently
replaced system file(s). I think you have a newer version in \sysbckup
than in \system.
Just replace the file in \system with the same file in \sysbckup.
FYI, the newest version dated 8/24/96 size 32,240 bytes.

P.S: Make sure you have "view -> options -> show all & don't hide".

2883.4 | don't have ors2 | DYOSW5::WILDER | Does virtual reality get swapped? | Tue Apr 08 1997 15:40 | 8 |
| Well, I don't have OSR2, and the date on my ddeml.dll file IS the most
current I have. Is there any way to convince W95 that this IS the most
current version, and to stop complaining???
Thanks,
/jim

| re: < ddeml.dll >
Jim,
I would:
1. Check for all ddeml.dll on the hard drive
[should have one (1) in <win>\system, and one (1) in <win>\sysbckup]
2. Copy <win>\sysbckup\ddeml.dll to <win>\system
If the problem still persists then compare ddeml.dll's settings in
registry with a known good system at location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\
CheckVerDLLs\DDEML.DLL

/Thien
