2880.0. "Video Refresh Rate?" by WRKSYS::CHALTAS (Roland the Headless Thompson Grape) Thu Mar 27 1997 09:39

How do I change the video refresh rate on my graphics card
(an S3 Trio, if it matters). There doesn't seem to be a
menu for refresh rate in the display properties settings tool
    (such as exists on NT)?

The S3 drivers available from the S3 web site include a refresh
rate tab when you click on the background and select properties.
Maybe you should consider a new driver.

My Starion came with a special utility for setting the refresh
rate. Perhaps your owner's manual mentions something similar
which you can use if you don't want to download new drivers.

The S3 drivers can also be found on the internal PCBU Web page
pcbu.ako.dec.com under Desktop - Options - Video, etc.
