My hard drive is partioned into C,D,E. I'd like to install os/2 in partion E. i) is this possible ? ii) has anyone experience/problems doing this ? Many thanks Ant.

Yes, it can work. Unlike DOS and Windows, OS/2 can be booted nearly anywhere off the first two drives. Two points to consider: 1) Think about finding a meg somewhere on the disk to create a boot manager partition. You might need partition magic to do this. 2) I haven't had much luck booting OS/2 off a partition that extends beyond the first Gig of a hard drive, although I'm told that v4.0 may not have this problem. |
