2815.0. "Cellular Dial-Up" by TNPUBS::MACDONALD () Mon Feb 24 1997 13:13
I would like to be able to use my cell phone for occasional access to
email. I have the phone, laptop, modem, and cable. How do I make the
connection using a Digital1 RAS connection when I am manually dialing
the number on the cell phone? If I click on the RAS dial-up, it
attempts to dial, but fails since it has no dial-tone.

| A typical cellular modem should be set "don't wait for dial-tone" and it will
be able to dial up the RAS server (no manual dialing !). I use cellular dial-up
connections with call-back regularely.
