I reinstalled W95 from scratch. Added Plus!, SP1 and Office 97. Updated Themes.exe from the Office97 kit. I am getting funnies with my screen saver and Themes. Screen saver won't come in after a reboot. If I manually set it, then its fine till the next reboot. I only have a few active screen savers - all the others (the Plus! ones) just blank the screen. Themes only works if I start it from THEMES.EXE - not control panel. Anyone any clues ? regards Alan

Do you have usernames and passwords enabled? If so, log onto the
default user account (i.e. hit "cancel" at the login box) and make sure
screensavers are enabled there (it does not matter which one). This is
a bug that is in the Microsoft Knowledge Base or some such. I found it
a while ago and it fixed random ss non-starting for me.
