2807.0. "regularly "ghosts" connections" by HAN::HAEUSSER () Wed Feb 19 1997 05:56
Hello,
a customer has one NT Server 3.51 with 30 Win95 Clients.
Last week i noticed something "misterious" for me in this environment.
The WIn95 Clients automatically connect and disconnect shares from
the server. For some minutes you can see "ghosts" connections to some
shares (means: in UNC-notation without driveletter), a few minutes
later some of these shares are disconnected and other are
connected.
It seems to me that the client will make "test-connections" to the
shares that are listes in HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Network->Recent .
Has anybody else noticed this behaviour too ?
What can i do ?
The critical thing is that these "ghosts" connections will prevent
other clients to start an application on a share which connections are
limited.
