The Arcada software has been purchased by Seagate.
If you go to Seagate web page you will find version 1.1 of the Arcada
software disguised as Seagate 1.1. This apparently is free as I downloaded
it last week. I actually haven't installed this version but version 1.0
works nicely with the TLZ06 as well as the Colorado TRACKER Parrell Port
drive and many others.

Yes, I just discovered that too. If you have Version 1.0 you can get the
latest update from Seagate. I just ordered it for $29 plus MA tax. This
version is even better. You can not only backup to TLZ's and QIC's but also
to IOMEGA JAZ and ZIP drives.
TAke a look at the Upgrade page on the seagate web page I pointed to.

If your TLZ06 has a minimum of revision 4AX firmware on it you can
change it's indentity to an Archive Phyton by the flick of the sswitch
in the back of the tlz.If forget the sswitch number but the lable on
the drive shows it as "reserved". You have to power cycle the drive
after flicking. Almost all software packages know what a Python is, not
all know what a tlz06 is, hence the switch.

Anyone have trouble with their system after updating to V1.1? I had
worse graphics performance after doing an update from 1.0 to 1.1 with
their 2Mb patch.....I'll go back to 1.0 thank you, but then again I am
building a P133 tonight so maybe I'll try it again....
