| This is the procedure I used with WfW311 in recovering from a
forgotten password in Schedule+. It may or may not all apply
to Win95 use of Schedule+.
Exit from windows and from DOS go into your windows directory. Look
for the file msmail.ini and using the DOS editor look for the line string
"login=somename". Delete the "somename" string after the equals sign.
Save and exit this file.
Now, look for the file schdplus.ini and edit 2 items in it.
First, delete the name after the equals sign on the line...
"localuser=someusename".
Second, delete the filename at the end of the line...
"localpath=c:\windows\filename.cal".
Save and exit this file.
Now while still in the windows directory, look for a file with the same
name as found in the "localpath=c:\windows\filename.cal" string in the
schdplus.ini file. Delete the file filename.cal. It's not actually
called filename.cal, I just used that as an example.
Now restart windows, and start up schedule+.
You might get a couple of pop-up windows prompting you. One says something
about "mail could not connect to your mail server....etc. [click ok].
The second one might prompt you if you want to work off-line.... [click ok].
The mail sign-in pop-up should then appear for you to type in a login name
and a password. Pick a suitable login name, and then (most importantly)
use the word "password" as your password.... [click ok].
You should then see another pop-up window that says that it will create
a new calendar file (a new version of a something.cal), with the file
name as the name used in your login name. It will also state that your
password will default to being the word "password". The reason I said
earlier to use the word password is that it eliminates a couple of other
annoying pop-up appearing if you had used another password. [click ok]
Once in, you can then change your password to something else if you wish.
