re: .2, .3

This note was the only one I could find that even remotely discussed the
ActiveMove player from MS. So, here I put my problem.

Lately, most AVI files I run with the ActiveMovie player die with this
error:

Rundll32 - performed an illegal operation and with end...

Checking out the details says:

Invalid page fault in module IR41_32.AX at 0137:164277b7

On the MS Kb I found some stuff related to MPLAYER and MMSYSTEM so
I extracted, by hand from the CAB files, every file that MS says is related
to AVI play. Didn't help. I also extracted the AMOVIE.OCX and IR41_32.AX
files.

Any ideas on what to do to either:
re-install from scratch and clean everything up
		or
install something new that I can use

???

Thanks for any help or pointers,

Peter.
2123.6Intel INDEO V4.1?JULIET::HARRIS_MANetworks Sales ExecFri Mar 28 1997 12:365
I think IR42_32 is Intel's new Indeo V4.1 32-bit MCI driver. Did you
    re-install that too lately?

re: .6,

I had installed the R.4.1 ActiveMovie stuff recently. But, didn't
re-install it since the same file(s) were available in the Win95 kit (ie,
ir41_32.ax) and I did re-extract it.

Should I go back and re-install the Intel version and then install the
Intel interactive R.4.1 Video for Windows stuff (I downloaded both but only
installed originally the ActiveMovie piece) ?

Thanks,

Peter.
2123.8Latest Indeo kits installedGLRMAI::tunsrv2-tunnel.imc.das.dec.com::NEILMon Mar 31 1997 11:4512
re: .6, .7

I just re-downloaded both the Indeo video interactive R.4.1
(ivi_nt95.exe) and Indeo video interactive R.4.1 ActvieMovie 1.0 filter
(indeoax.exe) kits and re-installed.

It appears that all .AVI files with an IR41 Video Format (as shown in the
Properties Tab) cause the Rundll32 error.

The only thing different, I suspect, with this PC is that it came from
Micron with the OSR2 (?) release of Windows 95. Does this version not
work with this latest release of the Indeo video stuff from Intel ?
